I wanted to add something to a gift I made. I grabbed a wood letter from Michael’s. I got one that was already painted black. I didn’t have time to wait for paint to dry. I picked up some foam stickers. They were glittered flowers in hot pink.
I already had some black glitter on hand from a shoe repair I did a few months ago. I used Modge Podge to adhere the glitter to the letter. I put some modge podge on a plastic bag and poured some glitter on it and mixed it up. I used a foam brush to put it on the letter. Using the bag made clean up easy. Just fold it so the goop is in the middle and throw it away.
I added the stickers. PRESTO! Hand made gift for less than 5 bucks!
I added more stickers to it. Under it is the rest of the gift. A quilt and pillow case I made. See the post about that! The quilt and pillow case were completed in under 7 hours and the glittered letter only took about 15 minutes, if you don’t count dry time.
I think your blog is great and would like to nominate your for the “one lovely blog” award.
Wow! Thank you so much!
